Anna Susannah Biggs (1861 – 1907)

Anna Susannah Biggs, was born on 12 September 1861 at Wharf Road, Snails Bay, Balmain.1 She was the second  child of Stephen Biggs and Margaret (nee) Henderson.

She had been a sickly child and at the age of 10 years was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. By the age of 20 she had become bedridden by and dependant on the care of her family.  She never married.

She died on 3 November, 1907 at the family home at 40 West Street, Petersham at age of 46.2   She is buried at St Thomas Church of England Cemetery, Enfield, in a shared grave with her mother and father.
